Our current activities

Our grants support children so they can thrive at school. This year we’re working with a Church of England boys’ day school in London to provide pastoral support, breakfast clubs and reading help.

Widening access to education for more than three centuries

Our origins and development

The Foundation has always strived to widen access to education and improve life chances of young people, for public benefit. Early endowments funded a public library and free schools to promote education and tackle poverty. This original purpose continues, while adapting to changing needs.

“We are proud to play a part in Archbishop Tenison’s charitable legacy, which continues to do good locally.”
